The political crisis occurred because of contradictions between the government formed from moderate Islamists and the generals dissatisfied with Erdoghan's passion for Koran, is being deepened. Last week ssession of the Security Council took place in Ankara, during which the militarists demanded that the government stopped its support to extremist religious organizations. This was after the demarche of high-ranking generals who boycotted the reception organized by the Chairman of the National Assembly in occasion of the Day of Democracy. Thus the army leadership expressed its protest against the expected presence of women in headscarves which is a violation of the state protocol.
