An international conference devoted to the issues of security in the South Caucasus opened today in Vilnius.

According to the party political council member, Azeri president's administration head Ramiz Mekhtiyev, Heydar Aliyev who is undergoing the completive course of treatment in the US, will to return to Baku late September.

Moscow and Washington should work out a plan to allow both countries to pursue their national interests in the South Caucasus, Dmitri Trenin said.
