Football player of "Banants" Yerevan team Ara Hakobian is the main claimant of the "Golden Boot" prize being awarded to Europe's best shooter of the year.

On December 2 the verdict of the executors of the terrorist act in the Parliament of Armenia on October 27, 1999 was declared. The 5 terrorists were committed to the supreme punishment – life imprisonment. We shall remind that the Chairman of the Parliament Karen Demirhcyan, Prime Minister Vazgen Sarkisian and 5 other deputies and one Minister became the victims of this political crime.
