Turkey and Israel together against the threat of the breakdown of both states

November 17, 2007 - 18:29 AMT  10:31 GMT

The visit of Israeli President was not at a right time for Turkey, since for the first time over the last several years Turkey faced a double threat for the existence of the country: the Kurdistan Workers Party becoming more active and Resolution 106 of the U.S. House of Representatives about the Armenian Genocide. Gaining the USA's support in both issues, Ankara, nevertheless, takes into consideration the powerful Jewish factor, which may play a very important role especially in the issue of the Armenian Genocide.
