We seem to have forgotten that precisely one year has passed since the day of Turkish President Abdullah Gül's first visit to Yerevan, i.e. since the beginning of the so-called "football diplomacy", which, to put it seriously and to ignore the "ecstasy" of the world community, did no good to the Armenian society. It came out as always: pressure of the world powers, at times ending in arm-twisting, neglect of national interests. In fact, Armenia, as we have previously mentioned, lost in all directions despite the cheerful reports of the Foreign Minister and the world community.

Thanks to Open Music Fest, people in Yerevan had the chance to enjoy Anna Mayilyan's soprano and Tatevik Baghdasaryan's flute accompanied by Armenia's National Chamber Orchestra (conductor: Aram Karabekyan).

From sunset till late night all the churches of the Armenian Apostolic Church serve Liturgy that marks the end of Lent and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The celebration of the dead and resurrected god dates back to the ancient Egyptian religion, when the Egyptians celebrated the death and resurrection of God Osiris. Present Christian Easter takes its origin from the Old Testament. The old Jews celebrated the Passover (Pesach) as the holiday of exodus of Jews from Egypt.

The impact of the world financial crisis on the Armenian economy and social state of people has already become perceptible, especially in the population employment sector. The alarm has already sounded for a number of employment agencies: employers' offers are decreasing in ratio with the increasing labor supply.
