Hardly had the ink dried on the signed OSCE declaration on regulation of the Karabakh conflict, when Azerbaijani political scientists, led by Mubariz Ahmedoglu, hurried to declare the statement to be “the success of the Azerbaijani diplomacy and the failure of the Armenian diplomacy”. One can only make guesses about where in the document Ahmedoglu found success or failure. It also makes one be surprised at not only the stupidity but also at the naivety of Baku agitprop, which has always been infamous for its ability to distort the meaning of any document so that even its draftsmen could not recognize it.

Weightlifting: Armenia’s Araik Mirzoyan won the U23 Weightlifting Championships in 77kg weight category, lifting 155 in the snatch and 186 in the clean & jerk (totaling 341kg). Aghasi Aghasyan won silver, lifting 336kg in the snatch and clean & jerk.
