According to Minister Papikyan, the aim of the initiative is to ensure sufficient staffing for the armed forces.

“This will strengthen operational cooperation, joint activities, and support in urgent situations,,” the statement reads.

“In January, my colleague Ararat Mirzoyan visited Moscow, and now I’m in Yerevan,” the Russian FM said.

Karekin II called on EU member states and institutions to take concrete steps against Azerbaijan’s ongoing anti-Armenian policies.

The statement asserts that Azerbaijan itself was the initiator in obstructing the implementation of a UNESCO mission in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The Russian FM thanked the Armenian side for the reception and emphasized Russia's readiness to further develop relations with Armenia.
