Ara Grigoryan appointed Yerevan Brandy Company Managing Director
Mr. Cedric Retailleau, who had been the Managing Director of Yerevan Brandy Company since January 2007, is appointed as General Manager of Pernod Ricard Venezuela and Northern Cone.
Since January 1, 2009 the position of the Managing Director of the Yerevan Brandy Company has been taken by Mr. Ara Grigoryan, who had been the Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Ukraine and Pernod Ricard Minsk since January 2001.
Mr. Grigoryan will combine the position of YBC Managing Director with the position of the Pernod Ricard Minsk Managing Director.
Mr. Cedric Retailleau, who had been the Managing Director of Yerevan Brandy Company since January 2007, is appointed as General Manager of Pernod Ricard Venezuela and Northern Cone.

"Only those people who enjoy confidence can take the post of Managing Director and Mr. Grigoryan is one of them," said Mr. Eric Laborde, Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Eastern Europe. "We are in the firm belief that it was the right decision."

"I am happy to take this high post and work with a perfectly built team," Mr. Ara Grigoryan, the newly appointed Managing Director said in his remarks.

As of 2008-2009 fiscal year 1st semester data Yerevan Brandy Company has registered a 8 per cent sales growth, reaching this indicator to 2.6 million liters. The growth was attained thanks to the extension of the sales share in Armenia, Russia and in the Baltic states.

As compared to the previous years index, the sales volume in Russia increased by 14 per cent, composing 1.9 million liters, in Armenia by 4 per cent, composing 218 thousand liters and by 16 per cent in the Baltic states.

There is also a tangible process in Germany, Poland, Bulgaria and Czech Republic.

Annually, Yerevan Brandy Company invests approximately 5 million USD in the improvement and development of its production and technological facilities, and approximately 12 million USD for the best organization of the grape purchase procedure and completion of spirit stocks.
