VTB Bank (Armenia) to launch pension distribution through plastic cards March 2011January 25, 2011 - 13:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - VTB Bank (Armenia) CJSC signed an agreement with the State Service of Social Security of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs on non-cash payment of pensions through a bank account or card. “From March 2011, pensioners will have the opportunity to receive pensions through plastic cards of VTB Bank (Armenia). Pensioners will be offered two packages: Pension Privilege package, as well as Pension Standard package, as part of which pensioners will be provided with Visa plastic cards for free and they will enjoy the opportunity to be serviced in the bank under special conditions,” the bank press service reported. While making payments through cards, pensioners will be offered discounts in medical and dental centers, drugstores, etc. To receive their pensions through cards, pensioners need to apply to any branch of VTB Bank (Armenia) to sign an agreement. Currently, around 44,000 pensioners are serviced in 68 branches of VTB Bank (Armenia).
