Computer font standards to be developed in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Draft project on the standards of Armenian fonts usage will be developed by February 2011, representative of the Armenian Ministry of Culture said.

“The database will include 400 Armenian fonts, of which 200 will be supported by Unicode,” Garnik Guyunjyan told a news conference on September 29.

For his part, member of the national literature chamber Edik Gabuzyan noted that 400 fonts are not sufficient for Armenian letters with a 1600-year history.
