Word ORT to promote implementation of high technologies in educational sector of ArmeniaOctober 14, 2010 - 20:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Ministry of Education and Science signed a memorandum of understanding with Word ORT non-governmental education and training organization. The memorandum stipulates for cooperation in implementation of high technologies into education sector, development of information technologies, use of Interned in education process, creation of programs promoting development of hi-tech centres in Armenian universities, Armenian Ministry of Education and Science press service reported. ORT is one of the largest non-governmental education and training organizations in the world with activities in more than 100 countries past and present with current operations in Israel, the CIS and Baltic States, Latin America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. It is a non-profit, not-political organization that meets the educational, and manpower training needs of contemporary society with more than 3,000,000 graduates worldwide since its inception. ORT has consultative status for information and education purposes with UNESCO, and observer status at the ILO (International Labour Organization). ORT is a founding member of ICVA (International Council of Voluntary Agencies). The aim of ORT’s educational programmes, throughout the world, is to give its students the best possible grounding for their future.
