Armenian banking sector best of all applies information technology innovations

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) has launched a series of thematic meetings on Information Technologies for Business, during which businessmen from various fields are expected to be briefed on applied technological solutions and informed of innovations.

“The seminars will help detect are resolve problems,” UITE executive director Karen Vardanyan told a news conference in Yerevan. “The first seminar is dedicated the banking sector which is the most developed from the viewpoint of information technology implementation. The next seminars will focus on construction, pharmaceutics, tourism and communications.”

For his part, executive director of Union of Banks of Armenia Seyran Sargsyan welcomed the initiative, saying: “The banks which closely follow information technology tendencies have a definite advantage.”

iCON Communications, GNC-Alfa, Norq, CQG IMA, Shirak Technologies/SAP, Apaga Technologies, FlexAp, McAfee, EpygiArm, ArmSoft, Lime Tech, CHS Vericell, Damaris, Smart Tech, Alfa/Polycom are participating in the meetings.
