Adobe launches three Photoshop Touch applications for iPad

PanARMENIAN.Net - Software firm Adobe has launched three Photoshop Touch applications for the iPad.

The applications include Adobe Eazel, Colour Lava and Nav, based on Adobe's Photoshop Touch SDK. They provide Ipad users with many of the tools of Photoshop literally at their fingertips.

Eazel lives up to its name by giving users the chance to make realistic digital paintings with their fingers. It also allows a choice of wet or dry paints and the finished product can be sent to Photoshop CS5 for further editing. This application is a little like the Art Academy title for Nintendo's DS, in that it allows users to make art while using a touchscreen device.

Colour Lava is a color mixing application for creating swatches and themes. Again, these can be sent back to Photoshop.

Nav is the most interesting application, as it connects the Ipad directly to the Photoshop software on your PC, letting you use the tablet as an input device. Users can select all of the tools available within Photoshop, browse documents, zoom in and out, and even open up to 200 documents at a time. This has some good potential for enhancing the use of Photoshop.

The applications are based on Adobe's update to Creative Suite 5.5 that it launched recently, which includes additional Flash and HTML5 support.

All of these applications are available immediately in Apple's App Store. Eazel costs £2.99, Colour Lava costs £1.79 and Nav is priced at £1.19. They are free for current Photoshop CS5 customers, The Inquirer reports.
