Armenian theater union head wants more talented youth on TV

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairman of Armenia’s Union of Theater Workers, director Hakob Ghazanchyan says he would like to see more theater people on TV instead of current broadcasts.

“We have many talented people. They are very committed to their work in the theater; the youth that comes to replaces us is quite interesting, and gradually an environment emerges that shapes talented children. They are rather interesting, educated and knowledgeable young people, and this is very good. I’d like to see these young people take their place on TV,” Ghazanchyan told a press conference.

The director mentioned that the youth is definitely affected by the film series. He believes actors should perform on professional stage which has more influence on human mind. Young people enjoy being broadcast by TV but they do not realize that TV will need new people.
