Yerevan, Sofia consider operation of combined flights

Visa facilitation between Armenia and Bulgaria may give a fresh impetus to development of business ties and cultural tourism.

“As an EU member state, we must think of visa facilitation,” Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borisov told a press conference, stressing the importance of development of transport links between the two countries, particularly operation of combined flights.

According to PM Borisov, Sofia-Yerevan and Yerevan-Russia transit flights may be quite promising.

In this context, Boyko Borisov noted Bulgaria’s readiness to undertake relevant steps in this direction and disuses the issue during a joint Armenian-Bulgarian business forum, planned to be held following Armenia’s parliamentary elections.
