Expert: nobody in Armenia has enough money to buy elections

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nobody in Armenia has enough money to buy the forthcoming elections, head of Sociometer sociological center said.

“Half the votes are said to be bribed. Half of 1 200 thousand voters makes 600 thousand,” Aharon Adibekyan said, proposing to calculate the total amount of money necessary for voter bribery, in case each voter is given about USD 20, plus the money given to those who distribute election bribes.

Asked by a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, why exactly 1,2 mln, when the official figure stands at approximately 2,7 mln., Mr. Adibekyan said, “That’s bluff. There are currently maximum 2 mln voters in Armenia.”
