AZERI POLITICAL SCIENTIST QUESTIONS DEMOCRACY OF GEORGIAN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS
If the Georgian parliamentary elections were really democratic, the Azeri population of Georgia would be represented in the parliament with 23 deputies, as reported by Olaylar Azeri newspaper, head of the Center of Political Innovations and Technologies Mubariz Ahmedoghlu stated. In his words, Azeris comprising 15% of the total population of Georgia should not be presented in the parliament by three deputies only, as "the index is too low". In Ahmedoghlu's opinion, proper attention was not devoted to the Azeris during the elections in Georgia.
