Neil Patrick to host Tony Awards

PanARMENIAN.Net - Neil Patrick Harris will host his third Tony Awards, airing Sunday, June 10 on CBS, The Wrap reported.

The Emmy-nominated "How I Met Your Mother" star previously hosted the 63rd annual Tonys in 2009 and last year's 65th annual awards. He will also serve as producer of this year's 66th annual awards, with Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss of White Cherry Entertainment.

"I’m thrilled to be a part of this year’s Tony Awards," he said. "Not only will I be shining a spotlight on the best that Broadway has to offer, but hopefully I’ll score some free house seats to a show – or five!"

A theater veteran, Harris recently played Bobby in the New York Philharmonic’s production of Stephen Sondheim’s "Company" at Lincoln Center. He made his Broadway debut in the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama "Proof."
