Georgia to test first home-made drone

PanARMENIAN.Net - Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said on Monday, April 9, he will attend Tuesday’s test of Georgia’s first unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), RIA Novosti reported.

“Tomorrow I will test our first drone, which has been designed to the highest technological specifications,” Saakashvili said. “More Georgian technology will follow.”

According to Valery Yakhnovets, the defense minister of the former Georgian republic of South Ossetia, Georgia currently uses Israeli-made Hermes 450S, Skylark I and Skylark II UAVs.
