German Minister of State dismisses need for OSCE MG shifts

PanARMENIAN.Net - During a meeting with students and teaching staff of Yerevan State University (YSU) German Minister of State dismissed the necessity of replacing the mandate of France with that of the EU in OSCE Minsk Group.

Dwelling on Germany’s position on the issue, Cornelia Pieper noted that it remains unchanged, with Germany deeming MG activity effective, with no need for any shifts.

On March 23, European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs adopted a document on Armenia, proposing to replace France’s mandate in OSCE Minsk Group on Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement with that of the European Union. The document is to be put to vote at European Parliament’s plenary session supposedly in a month.
