Armenians in Poland commemorate Genocide victims

Every April 24, Armenian community in Poland and their Polish friends mark the Armenian Genocide anniversary, honoring the memory of innocent victims through peaceful rallies, marches and other commemorative events.

As PanARMENIAN.Net learnt, this year the mourning march that hosted both Warsaw Armenians and numerous Poles, was organized on April 24 on the initiative of the chief pastor of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Poland Fr. Tachat Tsaturyan. The peaceful rally with thousands of Armenians and Poles participating launched from St. Mary's Church in Warsaw, where a mourning liturgy was served. The march ended in front of the Turkish embassy building, with prayers offered for the repose of souls of the Genocide victims.
