Bruce Willis is back to playing a law-enforcement agent - but this character's a long way off from his "Die Hard" badass John McClane, The Wrap reported.

In his latest film "Moonrise Kingdom," Willis plays a local New England sheriff who's called into action when a couple of lovestruck 12-year-olds run away together into the wilderness as a violent storm starts brewing off-shore.

The Wes Anderson-directed "Moonrise Kingdom" which also stars Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Jason Schwartzman, opens in select theaters May 25.
