Paper claims Orinats Yerkir abandoned by ruling patron

PanARMENIAN.Net - Despite a 6% vote forecast for Orinats Yerkir in the upcoming parliamentary elections by the Gallup International Association, the party knows pretty well it will not gain so many votes, Yerkir paper says.

According to the paper, party's leader Artur Baghdasaryan had a tough conversation with Orinats Yerkir vice chairperson Heghine Bisharyan recently, telling her their “Big brother” (the ruling Republican Party of Armenia) no longer backs them.

This means Orinats Yerkir will have to face the elections all alone, with few chances to make it into the parliament, paper says.

However, Bisharyan declared she is going to fight till the end, unwilling to yield and abandon her years-long work, Yerkir claims.
