ARMENIA EXPECTS US TO REPEAL JACKSON/VANIK AMENDMENT SOON
Armenia expects that this August the US Congress will repeal the legal amendment of Jackson/Vanik, providing for trade sanctions against former republics of the USSR, Armenian Minister of Finance and Economy Vardan Khachatrian told journalists today. At that he noted that in spite of the amendment in question being in effect, Armenia almost does not feel limitations in trade with the US. These limitations do not hinder US businessmen any more. V. Khachatrian reminded that the question is at the stage of discussion in the US Congress.
