Magnolia picks up rights to “Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview

PanARMENIAN.Net - Magnolia Pictures has acquired the U.S. rights to "Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview" and will open the film in select theaters May 11, with DVD and Video on Demand releases following this summer, The Wrap reported.

The film, which was lensed by Robert Cringley in 1995 and features Apple honcho Jobs discussing a wide range of topics such as his early days, career battles and vision for the future, saw limited special screenings at Landmark theaters earlier.

Parts of the interview had aired in a television special in the mid-'90s, but most of the sit-down was shelved and assumed to be lost over the subsequent 17 years.

Magnolia president Eamonn Bowles said the film will be "enlightening and entertaining for anyone that’s interested in Jobs’ legacy ... It’s a valuable piece of history that has thankfully been rescued from obscurity.” Jobs died in October 2011 at the age of 56.
