Ex-FM says RPA makes minority in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) currently makes minority in the country, according to former Foreign Minister and second number of Prosperous Armenia party's candidates list said.

“In case of fair elections, a new government will be formed to bring the country out of the difficult situation, Vartan Oskanian said during a meeting of inter-party headquarters to counter election violations.

He further blamed RPA for the present social and economic situation.

“Mass rallies prove public support for the forces involved in inter-party headquarters,” he said, ironically adding that RPA rally on May 4 is just a concert.

Parliamentary elections, due in Armenia on May 6, feature 8 political parties, Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD), Orinats Yerkir, Heritage, Democratic Party of Armenia (DPA), Communist Party of Armenia and United Armenian party, as well as one election bloc represented by opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC).
