NON-RESIDENT AMBASSADORS ACCREDITED IN ARMENIA ACQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH POLITICAL SITUATION AND ECONOMIC CAPACITIES OF THE COUNTRY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Non-resident Ambassadors and high rank diplomats accredited in Armenia, who represent 40 countries of the world and are in Yerevan, today met with Foreign Minister of Armenia Vardan Oskanian. As reported by the Press Service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia, the latter presented the main directions of Armenia's foreign policy, efforts to ease the tension and establish stability and cooperation in the region. During the meeting V. Oskanian also touched upon security issues of Armenia, energy resources and their development, prospects of settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Then foreign diplomats met with Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Trade Karen Chshmaritian, who presented the current economic situation in Armenia and the legislative framework, encouraging foreign investment. It should be noted that the goal of the Yerevan meeting is to acquaint the foreign diplomats with the current situation in the country, economic capacities and prospects of development, as well as historical and cultural values of Armenia.
