Kocharian, Sargsyan reach agreement, paper says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Zhoghovurd paper reported earlier that ex-president of Armenia Robert Kocharian and current Armenian leader Serzh Sargsyan were likely meet in Stepanakert, Nagorno Karabakh, on Victory Day.

According to the paper, the May 9 meeting was to be mediated by NKR former President Arkady Ghukasyan.

“Our sources say Kocharian-Sargsyan meeting did take place, and lasted for quite a while,” Zhoghovurd says.

Of course, detailed information on this meeting is hardly available now, but rumors say, judging by the mood of both parties, that the two decided for coordinated actions, it says.

They agreed not to hinder each other’s activities; meanwhile, the meeting resulted in no specific arrangement on Kocharian’s possible comeback into politics, the paper says.
