The Turks living in the UK have begun a movement against the decision on recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey, passed by the Council of the Gwynedd county (north-west Wales) in early March. As reported by Milliyet Turkish newspaper, Arminfo agency reported, with that purpose the Turks living in the UK formed a Committee for Protection of Turks' Rights, which includes representatives of Turkish non-governmental organizations. The other day a delegation of the aforementioned organization met with members of the Gwynedd County Council. The Turkish party presented the arranged package of "documents and photos, containing the truth" on the Armenian Genocide. According to Milliyet, the Council members promised to "review the situation" after the meeting.
