Lionsgate UK nabs Guillaume Canet’s star-studded “Blood Ties” - CannesMay 17, 2012 - 18:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Wild Bunch has closed a deal with Lionsgate UK for the Guillaume Canet-directed drama Blood Ties, Deadline reported. The pic is currently shooting with stars Clive Owen, Billy Crudup, Zoe Saldana, Mila Kunis, James Caan, Matthias Schoenaerts and Canet’s real-life partner, Marion Cotillard. She and Schoenaerts are also in Jacques Audiard’s competition pic Rust & Bone that’s screening tonight. Blood Ties, written by James Gray and Canet, is based on Jacques Maillot’s 2008 Les Liens Du Sang in which Canet starred. It’s set in 1974 New York and follows two brothers, one a cop and one a criminal. This is Canet’s 4th feature as director. Producers are Alain Attal, Hugo Selignac and John Lesher.
