Today head of the British delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Terry Davis was elected CE Secretary General by the absolute majority of votes. It should be reminded that he had been the PACE rapporteur for Nagorno Karabakh. As reported by head of the PACE Armenian delegation, Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Tigran Torosian, T. Davis will assume his new duties this September. Thereupon his speech to be delivered to the PACE Political Committee, scheduled June 24, remains in force.
