CIS Ministers to develop stance on global financial system reforms

The sixth meeting of the Council of CIS Finance Ministers will held in Astana on Wednesday, May 23, during the Astana Economic Forum.

The meeting could become a platform for developing common positions in the framework of reforming the global financial system that is on G20 agenda.

Issues related to the financial and economic situation in the CIS countries, the existing differences in regulatory regimes in the area of banking supervision in these states and their rapprochement, risks to the CIS member states and the chairmanship of the Russian Ministry of Finance during interaction of the ministers of finance are on meeting agenda.

The meeting will also address the action plan of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between Finance Ministries of the CIS member-states, the rules of the ministerial permanent conference and the outcomes of the first meeting of the CIS regional advisory group in the financial stability council, Trend reported.
