Hovik Abrahamyan elected parliament speaker May 31, 2012 - 13:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Secret ballot results for parliament speaker’s post have just been announced at the National Assembly of Armenia. 110 MPs participated in the voting, with 102 of them having voted for RPA’s only candidate Hovik Abrahamyan, 4 having voted against, and 4 ballots declared invalid. In his speech Mr. Abrahamyan thanked those present for trusting him, particularly President Serzh Sargsyan and party members. Elections of parliament vice-speaker have launched, with Galust Sahakyan from RPA having nominated Eduard Sharmazanov and Hermine Naghdalyan for the post.
