Armenian PM, EPP head discuss European integration

Armenian Prime Minister, deputy chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Tigran Sargsyan met with the head of European People's Party (EPP) Wilfried Martens as part of his visit to Brussels.

The parties highly assessed the close cooperation between EPP and RPA, with Mr. Martens once again congratulating Prime Minster Sargsyan with RPA’ victory at the parliamentary elections.

“The Armenian authorities are determined to address the oversights recorded during the parliamentary elections by the upcoming presidential race,” RA Prime Minster said.

The two men further dwelt on the process of Armenia’s European integration, the programs in the framework of Armenia-EU cooperation, as well as reforms to be implemented in Armenia, voicing readiness to deepen the existing ties, government’s press service reported.
