The commodity turnover between Armenia and Austria made $4 million in 2002. President of the Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Armenia Martin Sargsian said at the opening of an Armenian-Austrian business forum in Yerevan today. At the same time, as reported by "Arka" agency, the export of Armenian production to Austria exceeded $300 thousand. M. Sargsian emphasized that the potential is being underused. "It is necessary to contribute to the establishment of direct ties between businessmen of the two countries to activate economic cooperation and I suppose the holding of the forum will be useful in this respect," - he said. The chamber head expressed confidence that a number of contracts will be signed upon the completion of the forum.
