SPECIAL TROOPS SENT TO ARMENIAN-POPULATED VILLAGE IN GEORGIA
The other day special troops were sent to Tapatskhuri village of Borjomi region of Georgia. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia explains the step by the intention of the residents of the mostly Armenian-populated village to impede the construction works of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. As reported by A-Info news agency, the villagers are displeased that they have not been paid the compensation, assigned by the Borjomi regional court due to the building of the pipeline. According to the source, no incidents were registered between the military and the residents.
