PROTEST AGAINST PARTICIPATION OF ARMENIAN OFFICERS IN NATO EXERCISES IN BAKU OF FORMAL NATURE, ARMENIAN DEPUTY DEFENSE MINISTER SUPPOSES

PanARMENIAN.Net - "If Armenian officers receive authorization for entry to Baku, the Azeri party will have to secure them," stated Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia Yuri Khachaturov, when commenting on the question of expedience of Armenia's participation in the NATO exercises in Baku from the point of view of security. "The protests periodically heard in Baku against the participation of Armenian officers are of formal nature," Y. Khachaturov stated. It should be reminded that Cooperative Best Effort - 2004 multinational exercises within the framework of Partnership for Peace NATO program will be held in Azerbaijan September 13-26.
