Oppositionist: Heritage voted against govt. program, not government

Heritage parliamentary group leader commented on the opposition party’s vote against the new government program.

“Heritage voted against the government’s program rather than the government,” Ruben Hakobyan said.

The MP further pointed out the corrupt government system as the main issue in the country, urging a struggle against corruption.

However, Hakobyan believes not only the current government, but also those who’ve been at power for the last 22 years to be responsible for the situation. “If in other countries, the opposition is given certain key functions, in Armenia, the leadership is afraid to give opposition any control over domestic affairs,” the MP noted.
