Special air defense force to ensure Sochi 2014 Olympics securityJune 25, 2012 - 18:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A special air defense force will be formed in southern Russia ahead of Sochi Winter Olympic Games 2014, Southern Military District Air Force/Air Defense Commander said. “The special force will ensure security on all levels including the Black Sea areas. It will comprise anti-aircraft missile systems and close-range launchers,” Interfax quoted Andrei Yudin as saying. He further said that though the air defense systems in the Caucasus region are fully operative, the defense forces need to take better efforts to ensure the security during Sochi 2014 Olympics.
