BULGARIA READY TO PLAY ACTUAL ROLE IN KARABAKH SETTLEMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yesterday Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Vahan Hovhannisian and Chairmen of the permanent commissions met with Bulgarian President Georgy Parvanov, who is in Armenia on a formal call. As reported by the Parliament Press Service, speaking of the problems of the South Caucasus and the Balkans the Vice-Speaker noted that they are similar in many respects, and the Bulgarian authorities are trying to contribute to their solution. He emphasized the importance of transport communication between the two countries, especially when Russia has closed the land road to the Transcaucasia within the fight against terror. The Bulgarian President noted that international organizations provide the opportunity for the two countries to have contacts, as well as support each other. In G. Parvanov's words, his country is for development of political and economic ties with Armenia and is ready to play an actual role in Karabakh conflict settlement.
