President hopes new Iranian envoy will promote bilateral ties

PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 29, newly-appointed Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Raeesi presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The Armenian leader congratulated the envoy on the appointment, expressing hope for his further contribution to strengthening of bilateral ties.

The ambassador, in turn, stressed the importance of Iran-Armenia ties, with the parties focusing on political, economic, cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Recent developments in regional situation were also on discussion agenda, presidential press service reported.
