Yesterday Armenian President Robert Kocharian received Norwegian Foreign Minister, Chairman in Office of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe Jan Petersen, who is in Yerevan within the frames of his visit to South Caucasian states at present. As reported by the press service of the Armenian leader, the interlocutors exchanged opinions on regional issues and touched upon the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process. The President presented the current stage of the conflict settlement and Armenia's stand on this problem. In this view Mr. Petersen underscored importance of mutually beneficial regional cooperation, which, in his opinion, can become a serious factor contributing to the settlement of conflicts. R. Kocharian attached importance to the high level contacts between the countries in the context on activation of political and economic relations.
