Comic-Con to feature “Saw” helmer’s “Devil's Carnival” horror musicalJuly 3, 2012 - 13:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Darren Bousman’s horror musical The Devil's Carnival is heading to San Diego for Comic-Con, The Hollywood Reporter said. Bousman, who directed Repo! The Genetic Opera as well as a trio of Saw films, and his collaborator Terrance Zdunich are bringing the musical and multimedia event to the oceanside city for the Comic-Con crowd for a one-night-only screening July 13. The event also will serve as a kickoff for a new 22-city tour. While the show is not part of the official Comic-Con programming, it lines up perfectly with the type of fan that made Carnival’s first tour a hit and turned Repo! from a box-office flop to a cult hit on the midnight circuit. The carnival-atmosphere show combines the hourlong Carnival film with burlesque and live performances, a costume contest, unseen footage from Repo! and a Q&A with Bousman and Zdunich. Devil's Carnival castmembers also make appearances; the San Diego show will include Alexa Vega, Emilie Autumn and Marc Senter.
