ARMENIAN ASSEMBLY OF AMERICA TO MAKE EFFORTS FOR US TO INCREASE AID TO ARMENIA IN 2005
The Armenian Assembly of America works for the US Government to provide $65-75 million to Armenia in 2005 as the year before, stated head of the delegation of the Assembly Board of Directors Annie Totah in Yerevan. Having noted that next year the US has decided to allocate $42.5 million, A. Totah said the Assembly also works at the Permanent Normal Trade Relations program, after the approval of which the US will provide numerous benefits to Armenia. "The program is approved by the Congress. Next week the Senate will discuss it," the delegation head noted, adding the AAA does its best to develop the economy of the fatherland. In her opinion, a high level of economic development is evident in Armenia, and it inspires the Assembly for realization of new development programs.
