US ARMENIAN PARTIES CALL TO VOTE FOR KERRY
"Dashnaktsutyun," "Ramkavar Azatakan," and the Social Democratic "Hnchakian" Party have addressed the Armenian American community a call to vote for John Kerry at the coming presidential election. Two main presidential contenders at the election to be held in the US November 2 - incumbent President George Bush and Senator John Kerry - have launched persistent electoral campaigns. In the opinion of observers, up to now the rating of the two candidates are very close, thus each vote gained can be decisive. "We call to vote for Senator J. Kerry, as he has always supported the Armenian community. As senator he is determined to recognize the Armenian Genocide," - the statement says. It should be noted that US Muslims also support J. Kerry due to the "anti-Muslim" stand of George Bush after the tragic events of September 11.
