SENDING PEACEKEEPERS TO IRAQ NOT CONTRADICTING YEREVAN INTERESTS, ARMENIAN PRESIDENT ADVISOR SUPPOSES
The sending of Armenian peacekeepers to Iraq is not contradictory to Armenia's interests, Advisor to the Armenian President for national security issues Garnik Isagulian stated at a press conference in Azdak discussion club Saturday. At the same time he noted that the question has not been finally decided yet. Noting that Armenia's neighbors - Georgia and Azerbaijan, as well as many Western European countries have already sent their military elements to Iraq, the diplomat said he was frankly puzzled the matter has become subject of speculations in the Republic.
