Collecting 44 signatures for doctor’s Harsnakar death probe impossible – Heritage rep.

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage parliamentary group leader is confident it will be impossible to collect 44 signatures to convene a special sitting to probe the beating death of Major Vahe Avetyan at Harsnakar restaurant.

“The initiative, however, was necessary to voice our reaction to the tragic incident,” Ruben Hakobyan told journalists at parliament.

“The summer vacations season can’t justify the inability to collect 44 signatures, were the MP actually willing to back creation of a special investigative committee,” Hakobyan said.

“3 out of 5 members of Heritage parliamentary group have signed the document. The party leader Raffi Hovannisian is outside of Yerevan; however, in case he’s back till 6 pm he’ll also be among those to sign the paper,” Hakobyan said.
