AZERI DEFENSE MINISTER: BAKU CANNOT WAIT FOR KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT INFINITELY
"Simultaneous to the protraction of the settlement of the Armenian-Azeri conflict, the possibility of resumption of hostilities increases, as the Azeri state cannot infinitely wait for settlement of the conflict," - Azeri Defense Minister Safar Abiyev stated in the course of his official visit to Bulgaria, Zerkalo Baku newspaper reported, referring to the Azeri Defense Ministry Press Service. According to the source, the Azeri Minister stated at a meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart that a new stimulus was conveyed to the talks over the conflict settlement during Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy's presidency in the OSCE. At the same time S. Abiyev noted that the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement should be based on the UN 4 resolutions. He also emphasized that the unsettled state of the Karabakh problem has a negative impact on implementation of large regional projects.
