AZERI FOREIGN MINISTRY: BAKU REJECTS OSCE MG CRITICISM OVER DISCUSSION OF "OCCUPIED" TERRITORIES IN UN GANovember 8, 2004 - 16:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan rejects the OSCE Minsk Group criticism over the discussion of the "Situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan" at the 59-th session of the UN General Assembly, stated Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov, Day.az reported. In his words, Azerbaijan has earlier drawn the attention of the OSCE Chairman, UN Secretary General and the Minsk Group Co-Chairs themselves to the issue in question. "Azerbaijan may propose a resolution draft or undertake other measure," Araz Azimov said. In his words, the Minsk Group mediators are informed well about the situation in the "occupied" lands. The Azeri Minister also called on the Co-Chairs to intensify their activities in the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
