Tom Cruise's “All You Need Is Kill” time-loop drama greenlit by Warner Bros.

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tom Cruise's All You Need Is Kill has been officially greenlit.

The Doug Liman-directed sci-fi has been in development for some time, with Emily Blunt cast opposite Cruise.

The film has now been greenlit by Warner Bros, and Cruise is currently in London doing prep work for his role, Digital Spy reported citing Deadline.

All You Need Is Kill is a futuristic time-loop drama centring on a soldier (Cruise) who is fighting a war against an alien threat, and is forced to relive the last day before he dies over and over again.

The Groundhog Day-style plot sees Cruise's character gradually becoming a better soldier as he experiences the same events repeatedly.

Erwin Stoff, Tom Lassally and Jason Hoffs will produce the film, with Dante Harper and Joby Harold writing the script.

Blunt discussed the intense physical training she was about to undergo for her role earlier this year.
